LESSON 1 & 2 : SECTION A
OBJECTIVES:
Knowledge: By the end of these lessons, sts will have chance to introduce their own homelands, their countries.
Skills: Speaking, listening and writing

PROCEDURES:
Settlements: - Greetings
Checking attendance
Check up: T spells some names and ask sts to write down on their mini-boards, then tell them to show up to find out if their writings are true or false

- Spells the letters and ask sts to write on the mini-boards
- Write them on the board

- Ask sts to repeat as much as well
- Tell sts to stand up and read aloud one by one
- Correct their pronunciation
Where are you from?
- Give out the sample:
A: WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
B: I’M FROM VIETNAM.
- Tell sts to repeat
- Ask one sts that question and tell them to answer, then tell him/ her ask their friends…
Make the dialogues
- Ask sts to work in groups of 4
- Give each of the members one name and nationality.
For examples:
HAI: PETER – ENGLAND
NGA: SUSAN – AMERICA
LAN: LILI – SINGAPORE
HOAN: VIETNAM
- Ask them to make the dialogues, make friends and introduce the nationalities…
- Correct their doing
Write on the note books

- Ask sts to copy down on their notebooks
- Tell them to write 3 times
- Check and correct their spellings and writings



Conclusion: Now sts can ask and answer about their own homeland
Homework: - Learn the new words at home
Practise speaking at home
Do exercises in the text books, Section A
Prepare for the coming lessons: Lesson 5-6: Section B
